two overdue males, sar responded and did hasty search.

three young females became disoriented on hiking trail as light failed into the evening and got off trail. after finding the trail again but unable to continue due to darkness they stayed put and contacted RCMP via cell phone 911 as no other cell reception was available. Parents of the females and Terrace SAR responded to the call. The three were located on the trail by parents and met with Terrace SAR as they were walked out to trail head. Terrace SAR then waited for other parent out on trail to return. When all were confirmed out the task was then closed.

At 1630 hours Terrace SAR was requested by the RCMP to conduct a well-being check on a male building/staying at a cabin in a remote area. The male was due home the previous day but failed to return. Due to heavy snow conditions the sar rhino was not able to make it to the cabin location. At 2230 hrs a second atttempt using 3 sleds was made. At 0030 hrs the 3 sledders made contact with the subject at his cabin. The subject was ok and had enough food to remain at the cabin for a week. The sar teams returned to base.
