At 1630 hours Terrace SAR was requested by the RCMP to conduct a well-being check on a male building/staying at a cabin in a remote area. The male was due home the previous day but failed to return. Due to heavy snow conditions the sar rhino was not able to make it to the cabin location. At 2230 hrs a second atttempt using 3 sleds was made. At 0030 hrs the 3 sledders made contact with the subject at his cabin. The subject was ok and had enough food to remain at the cabin for a week. The sar teams returned to base.
