Skeena River - Stranded Boater

At 1150 hours on July 3, Terrace Water Rescue Team was requested by RCMP top assist in a stranded boat on the Skeena River, with a family on board. It was reported the boat had mechanical problems and was tied to a rock in the middle of the river near Hells Canyon. Terrace SAR responded with 5 Swiftwater rescue technicians. The subject’s boat was located tied to the shoreline on river right. Two family members were transported to the boat launch. The team assisted the boat operator in getting his boat returned safely to the boat launch..
