While on family hike on Terrace Mountain, a father and friend became separated from his daughter after leaving the viewing area at the top of the mountain. The daughter walked out at Munthe Avenue but received a text from the 2 males they were lost. RCMP requested for assistance from SAR in locating the 2 adult males on Terrace Mountain. Additional reports form the RCMP and witness, as SAR mobilized now indicated the 2 males have become separated. Two SAR Initial Response teams conducted 3 search assignments in the area. Witnesses ion the trail were briefly interviewed by RCMP and SAR but no one had seen the 2 males. A helicopter was also requested through ECC but not utilized due to decreasing daylight. While search efforts were being conducted on the mountain efforts were also being initiated to monitor if the males walked out on their own. Approximately 1.5 hours into the search the 2 males were identified to have walked out and returned home. Once all information had been verified and subjects were safe. Terrace SAR returned to base.
